Bengaluru: In a recent case of corruption in Bengaluru, Lokayukta police has nabbed an assistant drug controller while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 40,000 from a pharmacist in exchange for approving his pharmacy license.

As reported recently by The Hindu, the accused official has been identified as Ajayraj D. Sha, who was caught red-handed accepting the bribe on November 4.

Sha allegedly demanded Rs 50,000 but ultimately agreed to lower the amount to Rs 40,000 to grant a license for the pharmacist, identified as Subramanya, to establish a wholesale pharmacy.
