Thane: The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India has ordered a "100 per cent inspection" of packaged drinking water facilities across Maharashtra, stressing the need to safeguard public health through rigorous food safety enforcement.
The FSSAI issued the directive during a review meeting on Friday, the statutory body said in a release. Its CEO G Kamala Vardhana Rao underscored the need for bi-annual compliance checks at such units.
