Gland Pharma CEO Shyamakant Giri to Step Down in April 2026
New Delhi: Gland Pharma Limited has announced the resignation of its Chief Executive Officer, Shyamakant Giri, who will step down from his role effective April 30, 2026.
The development was disclosed by the company in a regulatory filing submitted to the stock exchanges.
According to the filing, Giri had submitted his resignation letter on February 24, 2026, and the company’s Board of Directors, acting on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, formally accepted the resignation. As a result, he will cease to be the Chief Executive Officer and Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) of the company from the close of business hours on April 30, 2026.
In his resignation letter addressed to the Executive Chairman, Giri stated that the decision followed careful consideration and that he intends to pursue new opportunities. He also expressed gratitude for the support and guidance received during his tenure at the company.
"I am writing to formally resign from my position as CEO of Gland Pharma Limited . This decision has not come easily, but after careful consideration, I believe it is the right time for me to pursue new opportunities. I want to expressmy sincere gratitude for the support and guidance I have received during my tenure with the company. My experiences here have been invaluable, and I am grateful for the trust you placed in me and the opportunities to learn and grow alongside a talented team." Giri said in the letter.
"I am committed to ensuring a smooth transition and will do everything possible to hand over my responsibilities effectively," he added.
The Board of Directors and the entire Gland Pharma team placed on record their appreciation for Giri’s leadership and contributions during his tenure as CEO.
