Gland Pharma Names Dr Jitendra Gangwal Vice President, Research & Development

New Delhi: Gland Pharma has appointed Dr Jitendra Gangwal as Vice-President (Research & Development) and Senior Management Personnel of the company with effect from February 18, 2026.

The appointment was disclosed under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The move is expected to further strengthen the company’s R&D leadership as it expands its pipeline of complex injectable and specialty products for regulated global markets.

Dr Gangwal brings over 24 years of progressive experience across premier research institutions and leading Indian pharmaceutical companies. Over the course of his career, he has led the development of more than 55 products across injections, ophthalmics, inhalation, nasal, and oral dosage forms. He has filed over 10 patents and has played a key role in multiple 505(b)(2) and ANDA filings.

His expertise includes complex parenterals, nano-crystals, liposomes, microspheres, depot systems, peptides, metal complexes, and advanced polymer-based drug delivery systems. He has also established state-of-the-art R&D facilities and combines scientific depth with regulatory and strategic leadership experience in regulated markets.

Prior to joining Gland Pharma, Dr. Gangwal was associated with National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Alkem Laboratories, and FDC Limited. He holds a PhD from National Chemical Laboratory, Pune.

The company clarified that there are no disclosures required regarding relationships between directors in connection with the appointment.
