Glenmark Launches Generic Olanzapine Injection in US, Targets USD 25.4 Million Market

New Delhi: Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Inc., USA, a subsidiary of Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Limited, has announced the launch of Olanzapine for Injection, 10 mg/vial, Single-Dose Vial in the United States.

The product is bioequivalent and therapeutically equivalent to the reference listed drug Zyprexa IntraMuscular Injection 10 mg/vial of Cheplapharm Registration GmbH.

According to IQVIA sales data for the 12-month period ending May 2026, the Zyprexa IntraMuscular Injection market recorded annual sales of approximately USD 25.4 million.

Commenting on the launch, Marc Kikuchi, President & Business Head, North America, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Inc., USA, said, "The launch of Olanzapine for Injection underscores our strategic focus on growing a robust injectables portfolio and strengthening our presence within the institutional channel. The company noted that its Olanzapine for Injection, 10 mg/vial, Single-Dose Vial is approved only for the indications listed in Glenmark's approved prescribing information. It also clarified that the IQVIA market data reflects sales across all approved indications of the reference listed drug and available therapeutic equivalents, while Glenmark's product will be marketed only for its approved indications.
