Hyderabad: India's pharmaceutical export sales are projected to accelerate to nearly 11% this fiscal year, up from a roughly 10% rise last year, primarily driven by the pivotal U.S. and UK markets, as per a statement from a government-supported trade organization on Thursday.
Despite global apprehensions about the quality of medicinal products following cough syrup-related fatalities in Gambia and Uzbekistan, India, ranked as the world's third-largest drug manufacturer by volume, has witnessed a surge in exports.
