Jaipur: A pharmaceutical company's medical representative was allegedly attacked and robbed by five men in Malviya Nagar after the suspects rammed his motorcycle and assaulted him with sticks and iron rods around midnight on Wednesday.

The incident took place in Sector 3, when Sachin Arora, 45, a resident of Kumbha Marg in Pratap Nagar, was returning home after work. The five men were reportedly travelling on two motorcycles when they approached Arora.

According to the complaint, one of the men allegedly rammed his motorcycle into Arora’s bike, causing him to fall. The group then allegedly attacked him with sticks and iron rods before fleeing with his bag and mobile phone.

Passers-by subsequently informed Arora’s family about the incident. His family took him to SMS Hospital for treatment following the assault.

Arora’s brother, Rahul, lodged a complaint at the Malviya Nagar police station on Thursday. Following the complaint, police began examining CCTV footage from the area to identify and trace the suspects.

The CCTV footage of the incident was retrieved on Friday. Police are examining recordings from the area to establish the identities of the five men and trace them. The suspects were reportedly travelling on two motorcycles when the alleged assault and robbery took place, reports The Times of India.
