Syngene International ropes in Surender Sharma as General Counsel, Executive Committee member

BengaluruSyngene International has announced the appointment of Surender Sharma as General Counsel and member of the Executive Committee (Senior Management Personnel) of the Company.

Surender Sharma joins Syngene International Limited from Colgate-Palmolive (India) Limited, where he most recently served as Whole-Time Director and Vice President – Legal, Secretarial, and Corporate Affairs.

He brings with him over two decades of extensive experience in corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, compliance, and regulatory affairs, having worked with leading organizations including Colgate-Palmolive, Marico, Heinz, Indian Hotels, Reckitt, and Maruti.
He has successfully navigated complex legal and governance matters, advised Boards and leadership teams on risk and compliance, and played a pivotal role in developing and strengthening corporate ethics and sustainability frameworks.
Surender holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from St. Stephen’s College, an LLB from Delhi University, and is a qualified Company Secretary.
