Telangana DCA Finds Violations in 144 Pharmacies During Statewide Inspection Drive
Hyderabad: The Drug Control Administration (DCA) Telangana has reportedly identified violations in 144 pharmacies across the state during a large-scale inspection drive conducted to monitor compliance with drug regulations.
During the inspections, officials allegedly detected multiple irregularities, including failure to maintain mandatory records, improper sale of medicines, and non-compliance with licensing conditions prescribed under drug control regulations.
The enforcement drive was carried out as part of the department’s efforts to strengthen surveillance over pharmaceutical establishments and ensure safe dispensing practices for patients.
The authorities stated that appropriate action would be initiated against the pharmacies found violating the rules. Officials further stressed that such inspection campaigns would continue to curb unlawful pharmaceutical practices across Telangana.
Times of India reports that the DCA also cautioned medical shop operators to strictly follow regulatory guidelines and maintain proper documentation in accordance with drug laws.
