Telangana DCA seizes overpriced anti-fungal medicine Itwage-200 Capsules at Hyderabad
Telangana: Drugs Control Administration, Telangana officials seized overpriced anti-fungal medicine 'Itwage-200 Capsules' (Itraconazole Capsules 200 mg) at a medical shop located in Amberpet, Hyderabad. The MRP indicated is very high compared to the Ceiling Price fixed for the product by the Central Government.
The product Itraconazole Capsules 200 mg sold under brand name ‘Itwage-200 Capsules’ is under price control as per Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013 and the price of product shall be in accordance with the ‘Ceiling Price’ fixed by National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), Government of India. The product ‘Itwage-200 Capsules’ (Itraconazole Capsules 200 mg) of Batch No.: TC-710, Mfg. Dt.: 12/2023, Exp. Dt.: 11/2025, Manufactured by: Tosc International Pvt. Ltd., Plot. No. 47, Sector-3, SIDCUL, Pantnagar-263153, Uttarakhand and Marketed by: Skinocean Pharmaceuticals, Chennai, Tamilnadu bears MRP as Rs. 299/- for 10 capsules, on the label of the product which is a violation of Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013.
