USFDA-Telangana DCA meet to discuss future activities

Hyderabad: Senior officials from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) recently held a meeting with the Drugs Control Administration, Telangana, at the DCA office in Hyderabad.
The meeting focused on updates from the Drugs Control Administration, Telangana, and the USFDA, along with discussions on ongoing collaboration and plans for future activities.
The USFDA officials included Mark Abdoo, Associate Commissioner of the Office of Global Policy and Strategy (OGPS); Gregory Smith, Country Director of the India Office; Ravi Bharwani, Principal Advisor at OGPS; Dr. Jacquin Jones and Dr. Phil Nguyen, International Relations Specialists from the India Office; and Dhruv Shah, Senior Technical Advisor, India Office.
Officers of the Drugs Control Administration, Telangana have actively participated as observers in 13 USFDA-led inspections conducted in the state to date.
Recently, the Telangana administration seized huge quantity of medicines that were stocked for sale at an unlicensed medical shop in Khammam.
