The council’s general body had earlier resolved to strictly enforce renewal norms as per guidelines issued by the Pharmacy Council of India.
The issue of delayed renewals has assumed significance as a large number of pharmacists continue to practise without valid renewals, raising concerns over regulatory oversight and patient safety. The council reiterated that maintaining an active and valid registration is mandatory for lawful pharmacy practice and professional recognition.
