NBE Releases GPAT 2025 Provisional Answer Keys, Recorded Responses

New Delhi- The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has published the Recorded Response and Provisional Answer Key of the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test GPAT-2025 and Question Paper with recorded responses on its official website. GPAT-2025 exam was conducted on 25th May 2025 across the country.

The recorded responses and provisional answer keys for GPAT-2025 have been published on NBEMS website. Candidates can access it at NBEMS website under GPAT 2025 webpage using their login credentials. Candidate can click on the tab labelled “Candidate Response” on this page to access the Question Paper with their recorded responses.

Candidates who wish to challenge/raise objections to a question/provisional answer key can do the same through the tab labelled “Challenge Form” on the abovementioned webpage with a non-refundable online payment of Rs. 200/- per question/challenge as processing charges.

The provisional answer keys/questions may be challenged till 01-06-2025 (till 3 PM). Only paid challenges made during the stipulated time through the challenge form will be considered. The decision of the NBEMS on the challenges shall be final and no further communication shall be entertained. NBEMS shall not inform the candidates individually about the outcome of their challenges. Challenges submitted outside this window and/or through any mode other than prescribed herein this notice shall not be entertained. Challenges or objections without a valid explanation or reference will not be considered and will be summarily discarded.

The subject matter experts will examine all the challenges received from candidates and then final answer keys for GPAT-2025 will be displayed and result will be declared based on it. No claims pertaining to the difficulty level of a question shall be entertained. This challenge can only be raised by bonafide candidates who had appeared in the examination.

The result of GPAT-2025 shall be compiled based on the final answer keys. No grievance with regard to Answer Key(s) after declaration of result of GPAT-2025 shall be entertained. The marks obtained by a candidate on the basis of the final answer keys will be considered for computation of the result of GPAT-2025 and generation of GPAT scores & merit.

Please note that GPAT-2025 is covered under the Non-Disclosure Agreement as mentioned in the Information Bulletin (Para 9.7-9.10). Candidates are advised to go through the details of the agreement for necessary compliance.

In terms of the said Non-Disclosure Agreement, “NBEMS explicitly prohibits the candidate, from reproducing, transmitting or publishing any or some contents of this exam, in whole or in part, in any form or by any means verbal or written, electronic or mechanical for any purpose whatsoever. No content of this exam must be shared with friends, acquaintances or third parties including sharing through online means or via social media.”

SCHEME OF GPAT 2025

The exam comprises 125 multiple-choice questions, with each question having 4 response options/ distractors in the English language only. Candidates are required to select the correct/best/most appropriate response/answer out of the 4 response options provided in each question. The time allotted is 3 hrs (180 minutes).

The examination shall be a multiple choice questions test delivered using computer network (CBT) as per scheme prescribed. An indicative Blueprint of the examination is as under-

MARKING SCHEME

There shall be a 25% negative marking for incorrect answers. No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.

The question paper for GPAT will be divided into multiple time-bound sections. For example, if there are 5 time-bound sections* (Section A, B, C, D & E) in the question paper, each Section will have 25 questions and 36 minutes allotted for the section. Candidates would be restricted to proceed to the next section only after completion of the allotted time for the previous section, and candidates would not be allowed to review the questions/modify the responses of a section after the completion of the allotted time for that section. Questions in the next section will start automatically after the completion of the allotted time for the previous section.

Candidates are given an option to mark any question, whether attempted or not, for review, which means that the candidate has been given an option to go through these questions in a section again before the allotted time to a section ends. Candidates may note that such questions which are marked for review shall be evaluated as per the marking scheme.

RESERVATIONS

Reservation of seats shall be as per the norms of the Government of India and respective State Governments as may be applicable.

In the case of Institutes run by the Central Government, the reservation would be applicable as mentioned below-

i 15% of the seats are for Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates.

ii 7.5% seats for Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates.

iii 27% seats for Other Backward Classes (OBC) Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) candidates as per the Central List.

iv 10% of the seats for General Economically Weaker Sections (General - EWS) candidates.

Each category will have 5% reservations for the candidates with 40% or more disability as defined in Section 2 (r) and (zc) of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, 2016.

In the case of the Institutes run/aided/recognized by State Governments, the reservation policy of the respective State Governments shall be applicable.

OBC - NCL (Non-Creamy Layer) as per Central list of OBC alone are eligible to claim OBC reservation in the counseling. All OBC applicants for GPAT are accordingly advised to indicate their category as OBC in the application form only if their caste belongs to the Central list of OBCs and they fall under the non-creamy layer.
