Jenburkt Pharma launches FDC- Nervijen D3
New Delhi: Known for its popular brand Nervijen, Mumbai-based Jenburkt Pharmaceuticals Limited has recently launched a fixed-dose combination (FDC) of Methylcobalmin & Vitamin-D3 (Cholecalciferol) under the brand name Nervijen D3 tablets in India.
This FDC aims to address the issue of Vitamin D3 and B12 deficiencies, concurrently seen in neuropathy patients due to nutritional deficiency.
The combination of Nervijen D3 consists of Methylcobalamin 1500mcg, Vitamin D3 1000 IU, Alpha Lipoic Acid 100mg, Folic acid 1.5mg, Benfotiamine 7.5mg, Inositol 1.5mg and Biotin 5mcg.
Methylcobalamin, an activated form of Vitamin B12, accelerates myelination, and may help in nerve cell and myelin sheath regeneration. Alpha lipoic acid is a potent antioxidant that helps to reduce oxidative stress and protect peripheral nerves from ischemia. Benfotiamine protects nerves against advanced glycation end products (AGE) formation, improves blood flow to nerves. Folic acid helps in DNA synthesis. Inositol helps in restoring depleted intracellular inositol levels and improves nerve conduction. Biotin boosts nerve function and improves nervous system metabolism. Adding to these constitutes, vitamin D3 increases nerve growth factor (NGF), maintains and improves nerve growth, reduces neuropathic pain, and prevents neuronal degeneration.
