New Delhi: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has opened the online choice-filling process for candidates who have qualified the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET-11) Stage-II, allowing them to select institutes and arrange their preferences for Nursing Officer vacancies.

As per the notice issued by AIIMS New Delhi in this regard, candidates who have qualified NORCET-11 Stage-II and have been found provisionally eligible on the basis of preliminary verification can now submit their institute choices online.

The choice-filling window for individual institutes and hospitals opened on October 30, 2026 and will remain available till November 6, 2026, up to 5:00 pm.

Eligible candidates are required to log in using their credentials on the AIIMS examination portal and fill in their choice of institute along with the order of preference. Allocation will be considered against available Nursing Officer vacancies on the basis of the candidate's NORCET-11 rank and applicable eligibility criteria.

AIIMS has specifically cautioned candidates that they will not be considered for allocation or appointment at any institute for which they do not exercise a choice, even if they otherwise satisfy the eligibility conditions for that institute.

This makes the preference-filling step important for candidates who want to be considered across multiple participating institutes or hospitals. Candidates should therefore review their eligible options carefully before submitting the final preference order.

The institute has clarified that selection will remain subject to fulfilment of the eligibility criteria applicable to the respective institute or hospital.

The current process is meant for qualified and provisionally eligible candidates moving to the institute preference and allocation stage.

Candidates with queries have been instructed to use only the “Raise a Query” facility available on the portal. AIIMS has stated that no correspondence will be entertained after the specified deadline.
