Patient Leg Used as Headrest at Medical College: Two Resident Doctors suspended

Jhansi: Uttar Pradesh government has suspended two doctors and two nurses at the Maharani Laxmi Bai Jhansi Medical college hospital here after an incident showing a road accident victim's severed leg being allegedly used as a pillow to prop him up in the emergency ward went viral on social media.
The incident is of Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College, where an accident victim, a cleaner of a school bus, severed his leg in the accident and was sent to the Jhansi medical college after preliminary treatment at a local health centre.
He was immediately rushed to the hospital where the doctors amputated his leg to prevent the infection from spreading. With the leg amputated, he was made to rest in the ward, and in absence of a pillow, his amputated leg was put behind him as a pillow. While its not sure who put the leg behind the patient as a pillow,the accident victim, Ghanshyam, himself claimed that the hospital staff put his amputated leg under his head in order to help him.
