Patna: In an unfortunate incident, a young medical aspirant has committed suicide by hanging himself inside his own rented apartment at Kazipur in Patna recently.
The deceased was a 22-year-old student and a resident of Khutaha in Bhagalpur. He was preparing for the medical entrance examination. Police found his body hanging from the ceiling fan with a nylon rope in his room and has also secured a suicide note from the spot.
According to a recent report by TOI, the deceased was staying alone in his rented apartment for the last four years. The neighbours living in the same building were the first to see the student hanging and immediately informed the police. The police found him hanging inside his apartment. The SI confirmed that "he used a nylon rope to hang himself from the ceiling fan. The matter came to light at around 11am." After that, the police informed his family members and his brother rushed to the spot. His body has been sent to PMCH for postmortem.
The sub-inspector of Kadumduam police station, Kumar has informed TOI that a suicide note has been recovered from his room in which the student apologized to his parents and his brother who is a doctor in Patna Medical College and hospital, for his drastic step.
"No one is responsible for the extreme step I am taking."- wrote the student in his suicide note. He also mentioned that he might not be mature enough to comprehend the complexities of the world. Moreover, he stated that the world failed him and it could not understand him. He informed his parents that they should live with their other two sons now, adds TOI
However, the police have not yet clarified what exactly made the student end his life. There are speculations that it might be a case of depression or a result of a failed love affair, but no cause has been confirmed yet. SI told the daily that "it will become clear only after further investigation."
