Fake MBBS, BAMS degrees racket: Woman arrested in Rs 2.34 crore Raipur job scam
Raipur: In a recently surfaced fraud case from Raipur involving allegations of cheating of Rs 2.34 crore under the pretext of securing jobs at the post office and fabricating fake medical degrees, the police have arrested another accused.
Based on the interrogation of previously arrested accused individuals and the established links, her name came to light. Acting on this information, the police team arrested her in Delhi, reports Bhaskar.
However, during interrogation, she admitted that, in collaboration with an accomplice, she used to fabricate fake MBBS and BAMS degrees in the name of Pune's DY Patil University and supply them to a gang. The police have also seized three mobile phones from her possession.
A complaint regarding this matter was lodged on February 17, 2026. He alleged that the accused defrauded him and his relatives of ₹2.34 crore under the pretext of securing jobs in the post office and providing forged certificates.
Subsequently, four accused have already been arrested in this case. Now, following the arrest of one more accused in the case, the police are engaged in investigating the entire network and are searching for the other culprits.
