Delhi govt announces health personnel shuffle, appoints new DGHS, director for BSA hospital

New Delhi - The government N.C.T of Delhi initiated a major shift of duties for certain doctors associated with the Delhi government health department. The shifting of duties included Dr PS Khatana, Dr Nutan Mundeja, Dr SA Francis, and Dr Monika Raina.

Dr. Nutan Mundeja, CMO (SAG) who was holding the position of DFW/SPO (Delhi State Health Mission) at DGHS, has been appointed as the Director-General of DGHS. Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) comes under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and it is responsible for providing technical knowledge and aid regarding public health and health care.

Further, Dr M.M Kohli who was serving as the Director of Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital (BSAH), has been relieved of his duties. It was informed that he will be continuing to work at the same place in the position of CMO (SAG) and Dr PS Khatana who was serving as a consultant (surgery) at Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital (BSAH), has been now reassigned as the medical director of the same hospital in place of Dr M.M Kohli.

Dr SA Francis, CMO (SAG) who was holding the position of Director CPA at DGHS, has been now relocated to the Lok Nayak Hospital as CMO (Chief Medical Officer) (SAG). DR. Monika Rana, CMO (SAG) who was serving as the Director CPA at DGHS is now assigned the post at Directorate of Family Welfare, Delhi Health Department.

The order issued on 21st May clearly indicated that the changes will be carried out with immediate effect and the previously mentioned officials will not be entitled for any extra compensation in regard of the above said charges. The order was issued by Dr Surindar Narang, Deputy Secretary (HR Medical).

The order and the changes of duties were approved by The Honourable Lt. Governor of Delhi.
