New Delhi: The investigation into the alleged NEET UG 2026 paper leak revealed a shocking emergence of a handwritten 'guess paper' that was circulated before the exam and is now being examined by investigators.

According to details reported by India Today, the material in question was a handwritten set of Chemistry questions and answers compiled into a 60-page PDF. This document is believed to have been shared through multiple channels before the examination.

The handwritten notes were converted into a PDF file and forwarded from one person to another before the exam. The investigators are now looking into who prepared the handwritten notes and then converted them into a digital PDF format.

The alleged handwritten guess paper was linked to a larger network involving former NTA paper setter and chemistry teacher, and another accused the suspended biology teacher, both of whom allegedly had access to the paper-setting room.

Medical Dialogues had earlier reported about the arrest of a biology lecturer and a chemistry professor who were part of the National Testing Agency's (NTA) paper-setting committee for the exam held on May 3.

The chemistry expert from Latur had allegedly been associated with the panel responsible for setting NEET question papers for several years. Investigators claimed he used his access to confidential examination material to conduct special coaching sessions at his residence, where students were allegedly given questions, answer options and correct responses that later "exactly matched" the actual NEET-UG 2026 question paper held on May 3.

The Biology teacher was allegedly involved in the National Eligibility Entrance Test (Undergraduate) examination process and was appointed by the NTA as an expert. She had complete access to the Botany and Zoology question papers. She is alleged to have mobilised prospective NEET examination candidates in April 2026 through another individual, Pune, who was arrested on May 14, and conducted special coaching classes for these students at her Pune residence. It is alleged that the accused dictated leaked questions and responses to select students and took lakhs of rupees as fees.

The report claimed that the handwritten material included over 400 questions, with key NEET questions allegedly hidden within the larger set to avoid suspicion, India Today has reported.

Along with this, the investigators are also probing how the PDF allegedly spread through coaching networks in Rajasthan’s Sikar before the controversy surfaced publicly.
