New Delhi: According to the latest official data, more than 7.72 lakh Ayushman Bharat cards have been issued in the national capital, while over 46,900 beneficiaries have availed treatment under the health insurance scheme.
An official statement issued on Wednesday stated that 34,715 claims worth Rs 86.22 crore have also been settled under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY).
A total of 7,72,129 Ayushman Bharat health cards have been issued in Delhi, including 2,90,475 cards under the Vaya Vandana Scheme (VVS) and 4,81,654 under the non-VVS category, news agency PTI reported.

The statement further noted that beneficiaries are eligible for up to Rs 10 lakh cashless healthcare coverage, including Rs 5 lakh under the Centre's AB PM-JAY scheme and an additional Rs 5 lakh cover provided by the Delhi government.
Healthcare services under the scheme are presently being provided through a network of 233 empanelled hospitals, including 181 private and 52 government hospitals across Delhi.
"The Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY scheme is emerging as a strong pillar of accessible healthcare in Delhi. Our focus remains on ensuring seamless treatment, wider awareness and timely benefits for every eligible citizen through a robust healthcare network," Delhi's Health Minister Pankaj Singh said, reports PTI.
The minister also reviewed measures being taken in view of the ongoing heatwave situation in the city.
The statement said ICU beds, emergency services, dedicated wards, mobile relief units, hospitals, polyclinics and Ayushman Arogya Mandirs have been placed on alert across Delhi in view of prevailing heatwave conditions.
Lok Nayak Hospital (LNJP) has earmarked four dedicated beds in casualty and 10 beds in the E-ICU for heat-related patients, while a 70-bed disaster ward has been kept on standby.
Adequate stocks of cooling pads, cold saline and ORS have also been arranged for treatment of patients suffering from heat stroke and related illnesses, it added.
