Vadodara: In a raid conducted by a police patrol team, 12 resident doctors including five female doctors attached to a private medical college were arrested for alleged boozing, making noise and partying loud in a residential colony in the wee hours.
Out of these 12 doctors, 8 of them reside in the student hostels inside the institute's premises while others stay in rented accommodations near the medical college campus. These doctors originally hail from Delhi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab.
On June 22, the doctors were booked under IPC Section 188 (disobedience to order promulgated by public servant) and under sections of the Prohibition Act.
This came following a complaint moved by a member of the residential colony. As per the complaint, a group of men and women had gathered in one of the houses, who arrived at the spot via multiple cars. They were allegedly making a lot of noise.
