HoD Cardiology Dr Kuldeep Singh Lallar appointed as Dean of PGIMS Rohtak

Rohtak: Famous cardiologist Dr. Kuldeep Singh Lallar has recently been appointed dean at the Pt BD Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS). He has been serving as the head of the department of cardiology for a long time.
Dr. Anita Saxena, Vice-Chancellor, University of Health Sciences has recently issued the appointment letter (UHS). Previously, DR. (SR. PROF.) Sarita Maggu from the department of Radiology was serving as the Dean of the institute.
According to Varun Arora, a member of the UHS public relations unit, Dr. Lallar was born into a farmer's family in Budha village, Kurukshetra district, and he walked miles before achieving the position. It was his constant hard work, commitment to duty, and dedication that help him have a glorious career.
He further told The Tribune, " Dr. Lallar joined the PGIMS as a lecturer in 1999. He started a cardiac cath lab here in 2003 in a process to expand the facilities to patients. He became a senior professor in 2007 and single-handedly took care of the department till 2018. Dr. Lallar started DNB Cardiology in 2020 and DM Cardiology in 2022. His 40 research papers have been published in various national and international journals."
In 2020, the Haryana government announced the commencement of the DM Cardiology course at renowned Pt BD Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) in Rohtak and the course started under the expert guidance of Dr. Lallar.
Appointment of the new dean in the second great administrative change for the institution as Dr. Ashok Chauhan was also appointed as the new dean of Academic Affairs in January. He serves as the senior professor in radiation oncology in PGIMS Rohtak and also served as Medical Superintendent at the PGIMS for 6 years.
PGIMS, Rohtak is the apex teaching medical institute of Haryana affiliated to Pt. B.D Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak. The institute is running undergraduate and postgraduate courses in various disciplines and Super-specialty courses like DM/M.Ch.
