Hospitals refusing Coronavirus patients to face Action without prior notice: Gurugram DM
Delhi - With rising complaints of private hospitals refusing admission to patients suspected of having coronavirus, the District Magistrate of Gurugram has now issued an ultimatum to all private hospitals in the matter adding action will be taken against them without prior notice.
All nongovernmental hospitals and medical facilities situated in Gurugram received an order issued to this effect by the district magistrate of Gurugram on 25th of May,202.
The order issued by the District magistrate of Gurugram stated that if any private facility denies initiating treatment of A Covid-19 suspected victim then they will have to pay penalty.

The order was issued considering the guidelines of the Epidemic Act (1897). The order states that "With rising cases of persons infected by the Deadly coronavirus, it is necessary to ensure optimum utilization of available resources i.e private hospitals/nursing homes for treatment of COVID-19 patients so as to ensure appropriate medical care is provided to all the COVID patients."
