Reshuffling at RIMS, 13 HoDs get new Dept
Ranchi: In a bid to attain better functioning of Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Ranchi, the head of 13 departments of the institute have been reshuffled.
Confirmation to this effect was given by the state health minister Banna Gupta, who stated that the decision was taken as part of the measures for efficient governance at state's largest government owned hospital.
The newly created head and their departments are listed as following;
Biochemistry -Dr Bella Rose Ekka,
Microbiology -Dr Ashok Kumar Sharma,
PSM – Dr Vidyasagar,
Paediatric -Dr Minni Rani Akhauri,
Surgery- Dr Sheetal Maluvan,
Infant Surgery- Dr Abhishek Ranjan,
Bone Joint- Dr Vijoy Kumar,
Neurosurgery- Dr Chandra Bhushan Sahai,
Radiology- Dr Paras Nath Ram,
Anesthesia- Dr Ladhu Lakra,
Cardiology- Dr Prakash Kumar,
Radiotherapy- Dr Rashmi Singh and,
Urology- Dr Rana Pratap Singh.
As per a media report in the Avenue mail, the new HOD's have been given the responsibility to make sure that accessible and better healthcare system is available in RIMS.
The minister told the daily, "Head of departments had not been changed in RIMS for many years, after this change it is expected that all HOD work will be done with new energy and planning. We hope that they work collectively with full devotion and honesty to bring about positive improvement in the system of RIMS and create congenial environment in the hospital."
