PGET 2020 Round 1 Choice filling: KEA publishes instructions

Bengaluru: Through a recent notice, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released a list of instructions for choice filling by candidates seeking admissions into PG medical courses in medical colleges in Karnataka.

Instructions for Candidates who wish to exercise Choice-1,

1. Select Choice-1 on the portal

2. Pay the fees only through KEA portal (NEFT / RTGS – download the challan and pay the fees at the respective account holder bank)

3. Admission Order should be downloaded through OTP and Secret Key

4. Downloaded admission order has to be signed by the candidate at the space given on the admission order.

5. Schedule for submission of originals at KEA specified venues will be notified on the KEA Website in due course.

6. Candidate if willing, he/she can report to the college physically with all details OR candidate can send the signed admission order copy to the college email compulsorily from the same email registered in NBE application.

7. Afterwards compulsorily login to KEA student portal, upload the signed copy of the admission order and upload the allotted details, failing which admission stands withdrawn.

8. Upload cancellation/resignation of the seat of All India Quota / Deemed University / Central Institute in case seat is allotted in KEA. (Refer notice for details)

Process for a candidate who wishes to exercise Choice-2,

1. Select Choice-2 on the portal

2. Pay the fees only through KEA portal (NEFT / RTGS – download the challan and pay the fees at the respective account holder bank)

3. Candidates are not permitted to download the admission order or they should not report to the college.

4. Candidate has to submit the original documents at KEA specified venues which will be notified on the KEA Website in due course to become eligible to participate in the second round.

Process for a candidate who wishes to exercise Choice-3,

1. Select Choice-3 on the portal

2. Candidates need not pay the fees for the seat allotted in the first round.

3. Candidate has to submit the original documents at KEA specified venues which will be notified on the KEA Website in due course to become eligible to participate in the second round.

A candidate who wishes to exercise Choice-4, Not satisfied with KEA allotted seat OR candidate has got seat elsewhere, so the candidate is quitting and not to be considered for allotment of seats in any of the further rounds.

Those who have not allotted any seat in First Round should also deposit the original documents at KEA specified venues which will be notified on the KEA Website in due course to become eligible to participate in the second round.
