Depressed over studies, Bhopal NEET Aspirant Allegedly Commits Suicide

Bhopal- In an unfortunate incident, a National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) aspirant, from Bhopal, allegedly committed suicide due to depression over her studies.

According to a recent  TOI report, the deceased has been identified 20-year-old girl, who recently passed 12th and was preparing for NEET. 

The incident happened around 6 pm on Monday evening when the aspirant told her mother that she was going to her room to study and asked not to be disturbed. About an hour later, her mother brought tea for her, she knocked on the door to call her. When there was no response even after repeated knocking, she called a relative, broke open the door and found her hanging inside the room. After the incident, the family members immediately took her to the hospital, where she was declared dead.

The incident was immediately reported to the Nishatpura police, where the police reached the spot and registered a case. Although no suicide note was recovered during the investigation, however, it was found that she was depressed about her studies, reports TOI.

Meanwhile, the Police said that the initial investigation revealed that the aspirant was depressed over her studies. meanwhile, the case is being investigated by ASI Ashok Sharma and the investigation is currently underway.

In a similar case, recently a 20-year-old second-year MBBS student of Radha Krishna Medical College allegedly committed suicide. She was found hanging in her rented flat.

Medical Dialogues has reported that a suicide note has been recovered by the police mentioning that she took her life in search of peace. Police suspect that she was possibly suffering from depression, which drove her to take the extreme step. However, what might have caused her to be depressed is yet to be confirmed.
