MP: Masked men attack orthopaedic surgeon with iron rod, rob his fiance

Indore: An orthopaedic surgeon and his fiance were attacked with an iron rod and robbed by a group of masked miscreants near a hotel in Banganga area in the wee hours of Friday.
Police have started a search operation to nab the offenders.
The incident took place in the premises of Hotel Prarambh under Banganga police station jurisdiction. The doctor has been identified as a an orthopaedic surgeon in the city and a resident of Satyam Vihar Colony of the city. He had his engagement ceremony in Hotel Prarambh when the incident took place.
The family members of his fiance traveled to the city from Gwalior to attend the ceremony. After the ceremony ended, the doctor was having conversations with his fiance inside his car on the hotel premises. However, some unidentified miscreants approached them and threatened his fiance to open the door of the car, reports Free Press Journal. The doctor also confirmed that the accused were wearing masks.
One of the accused reportedly forcibly snatched a bracelet from doctor's fiance. When the complainant opposed and tried to resist the accused, one of them allegedly attacked him with an iron rod, reports the daily. After securing the bracelet and injuring doctor, the culprits escaped the scene. Later, the doctor informed the police and lodged a complaint against the unidentified offenders.
The police found that the CCTV installed near the spot captured the culprits. They found footage where some masked men fleeing from the spot. The accused could not be identified till the filing of this report. However, police have initiated a thorough search to nab them.
