Maha: Man arrested for making calls to Reliance Hospital, threatens to kill Mukesh Ambani's family
Mumbai: An man has made a phone call to a hospital in Mumbai and threatened to kill the family of industrialist Mukesh Ambani, a police official said. The person made three to four calls on a landline number of the Reliance Foundation Hospital in Girgaon area around 10.30 am, he said.
After receiving information about the calls, the Mumbai police initiated a probe into it. A preliminary enquiry suggested the caller was mentally unstable, the official said. A process was on to register an FIR in this connection, he added.
"Mumbai Police arrested the caller namely Bishnu Vidu Bhowmik, aged 56, and registered an FIR u/s 506 (2) of IPC. He made nine calls between 10:39 am and 12:04 pm from his personal phone on eight different numbers. He is a resident of Borivali West," Neelotpal DCP, Zone 2 told ANI.
"A suspect has been detained from Dahisar for the making the threats call on the board lines of Reliance Foundation Harkissandas Hospital. Investigations are in progress," said a Mumbai Police spokesperson.
