Mumbai: The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) has suspended a woman doctor, who was in charge of a vaccination center after 40 vaccine doses went missing from the Kausa Stadium vaccination centre in Mumbra and was later found in her clinic.

The corporation has also sealed the hair transplant clinic of the doctor.

This comes in wake of complaints moved by local residents on Saturday claiming that the doses were missing from the vaccination centre at Kausa, Mumbra. A day later, TMC found the forty missing vaccine doses in the hair transplant clinic of the doctor.

We have also submitted a complaint to the police station to investigate the entire matter."

The civic body has also given a written complaint to the Mumbra Police Station to investigate the hair transplant clinic, where the vaccine vials were found and also against the concerned doctor of the centre.

A senior police officer from Mumbra Police Station stated, "We have received a written complaint from the TMC to investigate the case. However, they have not registered an FIR."
