Guwahati Doctor Missing in Lohit River Area
Mumbai: Days after a third year MBBS student studying at the government-run Grant Medical College (GMC), also known as JJ hospital went missing, Bandra police Friday last week registered an FIR for kidnapping against unidentified persons.
The medico has been missing for more than 14 days now, leaving the police and her family confused.
The Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported about this missing case when she had left her home in Boisar, and was going to the college to appear for an internal preliminary examination. However, she never reached the college. Subsequently, a missing persons complaint was filed at the Boisar police station.
According to the woman's younger brother, Sanskar Sane, his sister had left her house on November 29 morning to appear for her third MBBS prelims at Grant Government Medical College. Sanskar told the Boisar police that she boarded the 9.58 am local from Virar station and got off at Andheri station to board a fast train. She had called her brother and said that she would call again at 5.30 pm, until when her phone would be switched off. However, when she did not return home till late in the night, her family got worried and started looking for her. They then filed a missing person report at the Boisar police station.
