Neurosurgeon Dr Manoj K Sobti elected Association of Neurosurgeons of Northwest Zone President
Ludhiana: Senior Consultant Neurosurgeon Dr Manoj K Sobti has been unanimously elected as the president of the Association of Neurosurgeons of Northwest Zone (ANNWZ). He took over as the new president at the seventh annual meeting organized by the Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Srinagar.
Dr Manoj K Sobti is a trusted Neurosurgeon in Civil Lines, Ludhiana. The doctor has helped numerous patients in his 45 years of experience as a Neurosurgeon. He is a qualified MBBS, MS - Neuro Surgery, and MCh - Neuro Surgery. He is currently associated with Sobti Neuro & Super Speciality Hospital in Civil Lines, Ludhiana. As per a recent media report by The Tribune, Ludhiana-based Dr Sobti will serve as the new President of ANNWZ.

He completed his MBBS from Government Medical College, Patiala in 1978. He pursued his MS in Neuro Surgery from Government Medical College, Patiala in 1981. He completed his MCh in Neuro Surgery from PGI, Chandigarh in 1989. He was nominated as a member of the Punjab Medical Council last year. He received an award from the Punjab government in 1994 for his services and was the president of the Indian Medical Association, Punjab, in 2013. He also served as the vice president, president, and patron of the IMA, Ludhiana.
The 7th annual conference of the Association of Neuro Surgeons of North West Zone was organized by the Department of Neurosurgery, Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences. The conference took place in Kashmir on April 28th – April 29th 2023. "This is the most prestigious conference of the society in which we expect a presence of about 500 neurosurgeons from all over India and many guests are coming from abroad. We will be organizing pre-conference CME and workshops in which some prominent experts in the field have given consent for being instructors," the association announced just before the conference.
Neurosurgeons from the states of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, as well as some areas of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, are members of the ANNWZ, a regional association of neurosurgeons.
