The Minister also announced that more job notifications would be issued soon and that recruitment would be taken up for every post in government hospitals to improve healthcare services for all citizens.
According to a recent PTI report, the Minister was speaking at a grand programme held at the Osmania Medical College grounds in Koti, where appointment letters were handed over to 1,257 candidates selected for Lab Technician (Grade-2) posts.

The event was also attended by Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar and MP Anil Kumar Yadav, who joined in distributing the appointment letters.
Damodar Rajanarasimha said the recruitment process was completed at an unprecedented pace. He recalled that the notification was issued on September 11, 2024, and the entire process was completed by November 2025. A total of 23,323 candidates appeared for the examination, of whom 1,257 were selected.
He said postings were given to 764 candidates under the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), 300 under the Directorate of Public Health (DPH), 180 under the Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad (TVVP) and 13 at the MNJ Cancer Institute.
Highlighting the importance of lab technicians, the Minister said modern treatment begins only after diagnosis, and lab reports serve as a key basis for doctors in deciding treatment. "You are like the eyes and ears of the medical system. Accuracy in your reports is very important," he said, urging lab technicians to help upgrade government laboratories to meet NABL standards.
Referring to the government's broader recruitment drive, the Minister said the people's government under Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has filled over 70,000 jobs in the past two years, fulfilling the aspirations of unemployed youth.
He further stated that a notification would soon be issued for another 996 posts cleared by the Finance Department, while proposals have been sent for recruitment to an additional 2,344 posts.
Stating that the government's goal is to build a "Healthy Telangana", Damodar Rajanarasimha listed several initiatives, including the foundation stone for the new Osmania building, enhancement of the Arogyasri limit to Rs 10 lakh, establishment of NCD clinics and cancer day care centres in every district, opening of Maitri clinics for transgenders, and introduction of free IVF services at Gandhi Hospital, reports PTI.
He said the Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad is being strengthened into a robust secondary healthcare system and announced that a new health policy would be formulated and implemented soon.
