Now the people of Balrampur will get the direct benefit of the medical facilities of King George Medical University (KGMU) and will not have to cover long distances for the treatment of serious diseases.

The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is constantly moving towards multi-dimensional development while fighting global pandemic like Covid-19 and achieving victory.

Remembering former PM, the CM also laid the foundation of 300 bedded hospital under King George Medical University at Balarampur and 'Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College and Satellite Centre of King George Medical University' in Balrampur district.

For the first time in UP, a satellite center of a medical institution is being established in another district.

Balrampur is a backward district in the field of health and medical education and comes under the category of aspirational District of the Government of India. There is no medical college in Balrampur district and its nearby districts. It is a lowland area and due to the lack of adequate facilities for the treatment of infectious and serious diseases in this area, the public has to face extreme problems. For years, there has been a demand to improve medical facilities in this area.

This medical institute will be of international importance and the services of the highest quality medical health and medical education will have far-reaching effects in all the areas related to health. Due to its proximity to the Nepal border, this medical college and satellite center is not only of regional importance but also of international importance.

In the second phase of the satellite center, when a medical college will be established, a total of 21 departments will be built according to the standards of the National Medical Commission.
