Artemis Hospital implements TeleRadiology services
Artemis Hospital in Gurgaon has implemented the use of TeleRadiology services which aims to provide radiology interpretation directly to patients through the tele services.
For the initiative, the hospital has announced alliance with Global TeleRadiology, a world-renowned teleradiology service designed for zero defect accurate reporting.
The scope of implementation includes reporting to patients on capacity issues, overflow, subspecialty, second opinions, quality audits and vacation coverage.
According to doctors, quick and accurate radiology diagnosis can save a life. "We are proud to become the Knowledge partners with Global TeleRadiology and this would aid us to service newer parts of the world," said Dr. Devlina Chakravarty, Executive Director and CEO of Artemis Hospital, as reported by TOI.
Vishal Chowdhary, Managing Director of Global TeleRadiology informed, "The aim is to provide accurate, time-sensitive, cost-effective imaging reports and interpretations that focus on high quality patient care for all our clients worldwide."
The smooth flow of services offered to the patients is often disrupted in workflow processes at the healthcare service provider end with common problems; poor report quality; high turnaround time; shortage of radiologists; and their uneven geographic distribution.
The hospital has been accredited by JCI (Joint Commission International) and NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Health Care Providers) to join hands with Global TeleRadiology as its knowledge partner. The scope of services covers both Indian and International markets with offices in Caribbean, South Africa & Pacific Islands, as further reported by TOI.
