Dr Himanshu Dewan (MBBS, DNB - Internal Medicine, MNAMS, IDCCM, IFCCM, EDIC - Europe, Fellow in Critical Care Medicine - UK) is the Group Director of Critical Care Medicine at Sarvodaya Hospital, Sector-8, Faridabad. With over 18 years of experience in Internal and Critical Care Medicine, Dr. Dewan specializes in precision medicine in critical care, delirium management in the ICU, and improving critical care outcomes. His clinical expertise includes advanced ARDS ventilatory strategies such as prone positioning and inverse ratio ventilation, extracorporeal therapies in ICU (including CRRT and ECMO), sepsis with multi-organ failure, advanced airway management including tracheostomy, and advanced mechanical ventilation (both invasive and non-invasive). He also has experience in toxicology and snake bites, advanced cardiac life support, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, and the application of severity scoring systems in critical care units. Dr Dewan completed his MBBS from Government Medical College, Amritsar, followed by a Diplomate National Board (DNB) in Internal Medicine from the same institution. He then pursued his Indian Diploma in Critical Care Medicine (IDCCM) and Indian Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine (IFCCM) at Fortis Healthcare. Dr Dewan also earned the European Diploma in Intensive Care (EDIC) from the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine and completed a Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Manchester Royal Infirmary, part of the Central Manchester Foundation Trust. Dr Dewan is a Life Member of the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM), the Indian Medical Association (IMA), the Association of Physicians of India (API), and the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS). He is the current Chairperson of the ISCCM Faridabad Branch (2024).
