AYUSH Hospital wing set for renovation after inspection

Sant Kabir Nagar: The AYUSH wing building within the AYUSH hospital premises is finally set for long-overdue repairs after a recent inspection exposed its worsening condition.
A high-level survey team from Lucknow visited the site and conducted a detailed structural assessment, documenting the extent of the damage, reports Amar Ujala. Following the inspection, the team submitted a comprehensive report to the state government, paving the way for urgent restoration work to revive the facility.
The building, which houses the AYUSH department, has been facing structural issues for quite some time. Several rooms have become dilapidated, with visible cracks in the walls and water leakage from the roof during rainfall. These issues have been affecting both patients and healthcare staff, creating an urgent need for renovation. Earlier, the district administration had formally requested higher authorities to take action regarding the poor condition of the facility.

Responding promptly to the request, a dedicated team led by surveyor Abhishek Singh carried out a thorough and detailed inspection of the building. The inspection process was extensive, involving not only a visual assessment but also the use of videography to document all visible damage across different sections of the structure. The team carefully examined cracks, weakened surfaces, water seepage areas, and other signs of structural wear and tear.
In addition to documenting the damage, they also evaluated the overall stability and safety of the building to determine the urgency and scale of the required repairs. Based on their comprehensive findings, a detailed report was prepared and subsequently forwarded to the concerned authorities in Lucknow for further review and necessary action.
According to officials familiar with the development, the repair and renovation work is expected to commence before the onset of the monsoon season. This timeline has been prioritized to prevent the existing damage from worsening due to heavy rainfall, which could further compromise the structural integrity of the building.
Timely intervention is considered crucial not only for preserving the facility but also for ensuring the safety of both staff and patients who rely on its services. Authorities are currently reviewing the report and are likely to allocate the required resources and approvals in the coming weeks.
