Govt to bring daycare Sidha, Unani units under CCHS: Madurai MP Su Venkatesan
“I have got the matter examined in detail and would like to inform you that the proposal for continuation of empanelment of Daycare private Ayurvedic, Yoga and Naturopathy centres is under examination. Similarly, a proposal for empanelment of Daycare Sidha and Unani Units is also under examination and guidelines in this regard are under preparation,” it reads.
Madurai: In response to the appeal made by Madurai MP Su Venkatesan regarding the empanelment of private Sidha, Unani daycare centres under the central government health scheme (CGHS), Union minister for health and family welfare, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya took up the proposal and guidelines would be released soon in this regard.
The following move will provide benefits to the central government employees who were excluded from getting free healthcare treatment at the Siddha and Unani centres.
Although government employees had access to free healthcare treatment at recognized daycare centres for ayurveda, yoga and naturopathy, now they will get access to the Sidha and Unani centres as well once the Centre releases guidelines in this regard.
