Hamirpur: The Ayurvedic Hospital in Himachal Pradesh's Hamirpur is set to launch its official Facebook page to strengthen digital health awareness and provide authentic information on Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy.
The initiative aims to make reliable health information more accessible while encouraging people to adopt healthier lifestyles through evidence-based awareness.
According to the hospital administration, the Facebook page will serve as an official channel for sharing information related to Ayurvedic lifestyle practices, seasonal disease prevention, home-based health tips, Yoga and Naturopathy. It will also keep the public informed about the hospital's healthcare initiatives and community outreach activities.

The page will regularly feature updates on health screening camps, public awareness programmes, observance of special health days, and free consultation camps organised by the hospital. Officials said the platform is intended to improve communication with the public and ensure timely dissemination of healthcare-related information, reports Amar Ujala.
Medical Superintendent Dr Vanita Sharma said the hospital's objective is to deliver authentic and scientific health information to the public so that more people are encouraged to adopt healthy lifestyle practices. She added that digital platforms can play an important role in extending the reach of government healthcare services and public welfare schemes to a larger section of the population.
Alongside the announcement, the hospital organised a free medical and awareness camp on Wednesday, where more than 100 patients underwent health examinations. The attendees received medical advice and Ayurvedic treatment based on their health conditions.
Dr Vanita Sharma and Medical Officer Dr Sanjeev Sharma said patients visiting the camp primarily presented with complaints such as cough, cold and back pain. Necessary medicines were also distributed to the beneficiaries along with appropriate health counselling.
Hospital officials stated that similar free healthcare camps will continue to be organised in the future as part of efforts to promote preventive healthcare and improve public awareness about Ayurveda-based treatment and healthy living.
