Bihar Hospital and tour packages: Owner lodges complaint
Patna: A district inquiry has fallen on B K Hospital at Jahuri Bazaar in Hajipur, after a pamphlet advertising attractive tour packages for agents bringing patients to the hospital went viral on social media.
The owner, Rohit Kumar however, has denied all allegations “It is a conspiracy to defame my hospital. We have not circulated any such pamphlet,” he told TOI. The owner has also lodged a complaint against 'unknown persons', seeking justice against the alleged defamation of his hospital said Vaishali district magistrate Rachna Patil.
The state health department has asked Vaishali civil surgeon Indra Deo Ranjan to conduct the inquiry and reach to the crux of the matter. Additional secretary of State Health Society Pradeep Jha on Saturday said the district administration would investigate the matter. "The civil surgeon's report will decide the next course of action in the case," the DM added.
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that a purported pamphlet, bearing the name of BK Hospital was doing rounds on social media, where it was seen that the hospital was allegedly offering kickbacks in the form of tour packages to agents who brought patients to it.
