Dental Professionals from Across India Participate in Novel Golf Tournament

Dental Professionals Participated in Invitational Golf Tournament
Manesar: The sixth edition of the All India Dental Fraternity Invitational Golf Tournament (AIDFIGT) took place at the renowned ITC Classic Golf and Country Club in Manesar on May 21, 2026, drawing dental professionals from across the country for a day centred on sports, fellowship and professional engagement. The tournament, which has steadily built a strong presence within the dental community, saw participation from dentists, academicians and senior practitioners from various states, offering a platform for interaction, recreation and strengthening professional connections outside the workplace.
The initiative was launched in 2021 during the Covid-19 pandemic by Padmabhushan Hony Brig Dr Anil Kohli and Dr Sunil Ghanta in Rajmundry with the objective of promoting positivity, wellness and stronger professional bonds among members of the dental fraternity through sports and recreational activities. Organisers said the platform was conceptualised at a time when healthcare professionals were facing unprecedented stress and demanding work conditions during the pandemic. Over the years, the tournament has evolved into a national-level gathering for dentists interested in combining professional interaction with physical activity and leisure.
Previous editions of the tournament were held in Srinagar, Jaipur, Mumbai and Jammu. According to organisers, the Manesar edition witnessed enthusiastic participation and provided an opportunity for professionals from different regions to engage in informal discussions, exchange experiences and strengthen professional relationships outside conventional academic and clinical settings.
