Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories signs MOU for employee skill development
Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories (DRL) has signed an MOU with The Life Sciences Sector Skill Development Council (LSSSDC) and Vishnu Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (VIPER) for technical job roles. DRL aims to train its technical jobs workforce in Telangana and AP, beginning 2016.
Under this agreement, DRL seeks the expertise of its new partners to align the education courses with the industry requirements. The programme envisages collaborating on pharmaceutical, biotechnology and clinical research occupation standards. Job roles in pharmaceutical sectors will also come under its purview.
“Skill intensive industries such as the pharmaceutical life sciences sector, are poised to contribute significantly to India’s GDP growth . It is paramount for us to create a strong foundation of highly skilled resources to support this growth. Our collaboration with LSSSDC and VIPER will go a long way in developing the talent pool, in line with the future needs of industry”, DRL Chairman Satish Reddy stated in a release.
"Our collaboration with LSSDC and VIPER will go a long way in developing the right talent pool of skills, in line with the future needs of Indian industry," Dr Reddy's chairman K Satish Reddy said, as reported by BS.
