Fake doctor flees with Audi car after taking it for test drive

Hyderabad : A 35-year-old man , posing as a doctor, drove away with an Audi car after taking it for a test drive from a car dealer here.

The man, who approached a second hand car dealer located at Srinagar colony yesterday here, introduced himself as Gowtham Reddy, working at Apollo Hospital and expressed his interest to buy the luxury car, Banjara Hills police said here. The dealer allowed Reddy for test drive " Audi Q3" worth about Rs 25 lakhs along with its staffer. "They drove up to Apollo Hospitals where the fake doctor asked the staffer to get down so that he can show it to his friends. He drove into the hospital and escaped with Audi car, police said. Based on the complaint lodged by the dealer, a case has been registered against Reddy and efforts are on to trace the car, police added.
