Former Patna Medical College Superintendent interrogated on alleged molestation slander
Patna: A Senior dermatologist and former Superintendent of Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) was recently interrogated by the police after a 22 year old patient alleged that the doctor molested her at his clinic
An FIR against the doctor was filed by a 22-year old girl, hailing from Motihari in East Champaran, who had gone to the accused doctor's clinic for getting treatment of her skin disease. In her complaint she stated that the doctor touched her private parts on the pretext of examination and asked the victim to visit his clinic for five consecutive days. The patient alleged that she had been assaulted by the doctor for two continuous days.
The victim, then, lodged the complaint next day against the accused in the women's Gardanibagh police station. Based on the compliant, an interrogation was conducted against the doctor by the local police.

Elaborating on the complaint, District Senior Superintendent of Police, Manu Maharaaj told the TOI, "The victim alleged that Jha had touched her private parts during treating of skin disease," he said. "Police will take necessary action after conducting preliminary investigation," the SSP further added.
The women's police station SHO Smita Kumari informed Times of India about the primary investigation that was conducted in this regard where she confirmed that the allegations made on the doctor was true. "Jha was grilled at his clinic on Sunday in this connection," she stated. He was interrogated for half an hour added the daily
Dr Jha strictly denied all the allegations made on him by the victim and called them totally baseless. "The girl visited my clinic on December 20 and 21. But it was a nurse who attended on her for treatment. It's a conspiracy by a few people against me," Jha told TOI.
