Four regional blood transfusion centres to be opened in Odisha
Bhubaneswar: Four Regional Blood Transfusion centres will be opened in Odisha soon to provide safe and quality blood to patients as per their need, State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Pratap Jena said.
The Minister said the centres would be opened at SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur, VSSIMSR, Sambalpur and Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar. He said a number of Blood Banks would remain under each regional centres and the Regional centres would monitor the day
He said a number of Blood Banks would remain under each regional centres and the Regional centres would monitor the day functioning of the blood banks under them, help them in collection of data, maintain quality and training. The Minister hoped that the regional centres among other things would bring improvement in the working style of blood banks and voluntary blood collection.
