New MD, MS, DM, MCh Courses Or Increase In Intake: NMC Re-Invites Applications

New Delhi: Via a recent notification, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has re-invited applications from concerned authorities and various stakeholders across the country seeking permission for new PG medical broad and Super Speciality i.e. MD, MS, DM, MCh courses or increase in their respective seats for the academic year 2022-23.The applications deadline for the same had ended on...

New Delhi: Via a recent notification, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has re-invited applications from concerned authorities and various stakeholders across the country seeking permission for new PG medical broad and Super Speciality i.e. MD, MS, DM, MCh courses or increase in their respective seats for the academic year 2022-23.

The applications deadline for the same had ended on 27th November 2021, however, the apex medical regulatory body has given one more opportunity to apply for obtaining the said permissions.

Thus, the applicants who could not get permission to start New courses/ Increase of MD/MS, DM/MCh seats for the academic year 2021-22, are permitted to apply again for the academic year 2022-23. They should mention the old application reference number and the letter from the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) of NMC.

It must be noted that if the applicants haven't made the application online, they can do so through EMAIL or hard copy to NMC with the prescribed fee.

On a separate page on the official website of NMC, the medical regulator has laid down all the pertinent information required to go through before applying which include the application process, particulars needed to be filled by the concerned applicants as well as fees and mode of payment.

New PG Medical course

All applicants seeking permission for new MD, MS, DM and MCh courses for the academic year 2022-23 are hereby advised to take note of the following information pertaining to online applications:

For the AY 2022-23 ONLY ONLINE Applications will be received–including enclosures and Fees.NO OFFLINE(HardCopy) will be accepted by the commission.

All Applications for the AY2022-23 will be in accordance with the Amendments to the opening of New or higher course of study, 2000 of the erstwhile Medical Council of India by the National Medical Commission and Postgraduate Medical Education Regulations,2020 of the NMC (All applicants are requested to read these regulations available on the NMC website under rules & Regulations, NMC prior to submitting their application).

All applicants are to ensure that they fulfil the Eligibility and Qualifying criteria mentioned in the amended regulations.

ONLINE Application process

1. All applicants must first register themselves by visiting the registration page by clicking on the below icon " click here to proceed to registration page ". After filling up the registration form, you will receive your login credentials with one-time password on your registered email ID.

2. While signing in,you will be prompted to change your password.

3. To Start online application process, sign in with your new password to your account and click on "Start Application – Starting of New courses" icon.

4. PARTICULARS OF APPLICANT

5. a. Name of Affiliating University- also need to Upload Certified copy of the Consent of affiliation issued by the affiliating University.

b. Name & Address of proposed Medical College - also need to Upload (i) Essentiality certificate issued by the respective State Government/Union territory Administration.

Increase in PG Medical Seats

All applicants seeking an increase in MD, MS, DM and MCh seats for the academic year 2022-23 are hereby advised to take note of the following information pertaining to online applications:

For the AY 2022-23 ONLY ONLINE Applications will be received – including enclosures and Fees. NO OFFLINE (Hard Copy) will be accepted by the commission.

All Applications for the AY 2022-23will be in accordance with the Amendments to the Minimum Requirements for Annual M.B.B.S. Admissions Regulations,2020 of the NMC and the Medical Council of India Increase of Admission Capacity in any course of study or Training regulations,2000 (All applicants are requested to read these regulations available on the NMC website under Rules & Regulations, NMC prior to submitting their application).

All applicants are to ensure that they fulfil the Qualifying criteria mentioned in the amended regulations.

For increasing number of seats in the existing MBBS course, shall produce Consent of Affiliation and the recognition for the existing course and number of seats.

ONLINE Application process

1. All applicants have to first register themselves by visiting the registration page by clicking on the below icon "click here to proceed to registration page". After filling up the registration form, you will receive a Unique ID with one-time password on your registered email ID.

2. You need to sign in with the Unique ID, you will be prompted to change your password. Therefore, request you to change the password of your choice.

3. To Start online application process, please sign in with your Unique ID and your new password. After signing in, please click on "Start Application–Increase of seats" icon.

4. PARTICULARS OF APPLICANT

5. a. Name of Affiliating University- also need to Upload Certified copy of the Consent of affiliation issued by the affiliating University

b. Name & Address of proposed Medical College - also need to Upload (i) Essentiality certificate issued by the respective State Government/Union territory Administration.

For both, starting of new PG medical courses and increase in intake, the applicants can check out the fees, mode of payment and other instructions as per the NMC official's webitse.

Fees:

The required non-refundable fee for application is as below :

a. Rs.2.36 lakhs for the Government Colleges(under Central Government and State Governments)

b. Rs. 4.72 lakhs for private sector medical colleges/institutions

Mode of Payment

(i)PayU: You can make an online payment by selecting the option "PayU" from the dropdown menu. It will redirect you to the payment gateway window wherein you can make the payment using your credit card / debit card or via Net Banking. You can also make the payment using UPI.

(ii)NEFT/RTGS: In case of NEFT/RTGS transactions, please add the below bank details as beneficiary at the time of registration for net banking:

The applicants are required to note that prescribed fees with GST shall be paid online, if the fees is not paid in full, the application will not be processed and liable for rejection. The fee paid once for one particular course can not be transferred to another course or carried forward.

Medical Assessment and Rating Board of NMC will apply the latest regulations of Postgraduate courses as and when they are implemented to the applications submitted.
