New Medical Colleges, MBBS, PG medical seats increase: NMC invites self-declaration forms from applicant institutes

New Delhi: The Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) of the National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued a public notice inviting Self-Declaration Forms from all medical colleges and institutions that have applied to start new postgraduate medical courses, establish new undergraduate (UG) medical colleges, or increase PG/UG seats in existing institutions for the Academic Year 2025–2026.
"Post Graduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) vide which all the medical college/institution who have applied for starting of new post-graduate medical courses/ Establishment of new UG Medical College and increase of postgraduate/undergraduate seats in an established medical college/institution for the Academic Year (AY) 2025-2026 have been directed to submit Self-Declaration Form on the link provided in NMC website, before 06.00 PM of 09-05-2025, along with a notarised undertaking/affidavit on Rs 100 stamp paper as per the attached annexure," the NMC stated in the notice
As per the NMC notice, all the medical colleges/institutions who have applied for starting of new post-graduate medical courses/ Establishment of new UG Medical College and increase of postgraduate/undergraduate seats in an established medical college/institution for the Academic Year (AY) 2025-2026 are hereby directed "To submit following self-declaration form before 6.00 PM of 09-05-2025."
For starting of new post-graduate medical courses and increasing postgraduate seats in an established medical institution –
A. Standard Assessment Form Part-B of the respective speciality. If a speciality-specific form is not available, use form 2.1 (Master SAF FORM-B for Broad Speciality & Super Speciality). Information declared should be from 01-04-2024 to 31-03-2025.
B. Form A of the institutional Information common for all PG Specialities (Self Declaration form)
Establishment of new UG Medical College and Increase in the number of UG seats in an established medical institution
A. (Self Declaration Form and Undertaking (For Institutions) (Form mentioned in S.No.1.6). Information declared should be from 01-04-2024 to 31-03-25.
The required forms can be downloaded from the NMC website under the Information Desk > Download Application Forms section. Institutions are urged to ensure timely and accurate submission as per the guidelines.
The self-declaration forms must be duly filled and signed by designated signatories. For UG courses, the authorized signatories include the Principal/Dean, the Nodal Officer, and a minimum of three Heads of Departments (at least one from a clinical and one from a non-clinical department). For PG courses, the form must be signed by the Principal/Dean, the Nodal Officer, and the concerned HOD.
Additionally, all institutions are required to upload a notarised undertaking/affidavit on a ₹100 stamp paper as per the annexure attached to the public notice. This affidavit must also be submitted before 6:00 PM on May 9, 2025.
All the concerned Institutions are requested to take necessary action and strictly adhere to the same, the NMC added.
