New PG medical courses or seat increase: NMC seeks submission of sworn affidavit, deficient documents, info from medical colleges
New Delhi : Through a recent notice, National Medical Commission (NMC) has clarified regarding the communications that it has sent to medical colleges which submitted online applications for starting new postgraduate medical courses and increase of seat intake in PG medical courses for the academic year 2024-2025.
NMC earlier released 2 separate notices informing about the withdrawal of 34 applications from 10 medical institutes, and the communications that it sent to medical colleges in respect of 204 online applications for starting or increase of PG medical seats to the concerned medical institutes for information and necessary action by them within the stipulated timeline. Further it issued communications in respect of 214 more online applications.
The lists contained the names of all these institutes for starting new PG courses or increasing the intake capacity in the existing courses. It included the names of colleges, application IDs, the names of PG medical courses for which they have applied to NMC, and remarks regarding the application (whether for starting new course or increase of intake capacity).
Now, in its recently released notice dated March 14, 2024, the NMC has mentioned that the communications that it sent to all the concerned applicant medical colleges are in respect of seeking deficient documents and information along with the submission of sworn affidavit.
In continuation of MARB’s Public Notice no. N-19011/10/2023-Assessment cell/NMC(Part I)(8268878) dated 06.03.2024, the Medical Institutions/Colleges concerned are being sent communications from MARB in connection with submitting the deficient documents/information .Through the said communications, the Medical Institutions/Colleges concerned have been, interalia, requested to submit a sworn in affidavit.
On the affidavit, the NMC has clarified:
In this connection, it is clarified/informed to all concerned that the said affidavit may be submitted on a duly notarized stamp paper of Rs.100/- . This is for general information for all medical Institutions/Colleges concerned.
