NMC approves 25 more MD, MS seats in private medical colleges, Details

PG Medical Seats
New Delhi: The Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) of the National Medical Commission (NMC) has recently released a list of 25 additional postgraduate medical seats, approved by the Commission for the academic year 2025-2026.
The Apex Medical Education Regulatory Body, NMC, has approved these seats in seven medical colleges, including Amaltas Institute of Medical Sciences Dewas, Career Instt. Of Medical Sciences & Hospital Lucknow, Father Mullers Institute of Medical Education and Research Mangalore, Kamineni Academy of Medical Sciences & Research Center Hyderabad, M S Ramaiah Medical College Bangalore, Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences Dehradun, and The Oxford Medical College Hospital & Research Centre Bangalore.
Releasing the list of these additional PG medical seats, MARB President Dr. M K Ramesh mentioned in the notice dated 03.12.2025, "In continuation to approval granted for PG Seats in Broad Specialties (BS) to the Pvt. Medical Colleges for AY 2025-26, an additional list of approved new and increase in intake of PG seats of remaining applications of Private Medical Colleges for AY 2025-26 is attached for the information of all stakeholders."
The Commission further clarified that the LOPs for newly sanctioned/increased PG seats for AY 2025- 26 are in the process of being issued. "The counseling authorities need not wait for the LOP’s from institutions to include them in the counseling process. The list uploaded in the website shall be considered as valid document for counseling process," it announced.
Referring to the MARB's notice, NMC, in a communication addressed to the deans/principals of all medical colleges and all the parents and students participating in NEET PG 2025, mentioned, "Kind reference is invited to the Medical Assessment and Rating Board’s (MARB) Notice No. N-19011/13/2025 dated 03-12-2025. In view of the recent changes in PG seats for Broad Specialties (BS), the updated list of remaining applications from Private Medical Colleges for the Academic Year 2025–26 is attached... All the concerned Medical Institutions, Parents, Student and other stakeholders are requested to take note of the same."
List of Newly Approved PG Medical Seats:
As per the list of PG seats for Broad Speciality, granted to the private medical colleges for the Academic Year 2025-2026, 4 MD Ophthalmology seats have been granted to Amaltas Institute of Medical Sciences, Dewas.
Besides, Lucknow-based Career Instt. of Medical Sciences & Hospital has been granted 4 seats in MS General Surgery, Father Mullers Institue of Medical Education and Research, Mangalore, has been granted 3 seats in MS Obstetrics& Gynecology, Hyderabad-based Kamineni Academy of Medical Sciences & Research Center has been granted 1 seat in MD General Medicine, M S Ramaiah Medical College Bangalore has been granted 2 seats in MD Respiratory Medicine, Dehradun-based Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences has been granted 4 seats in MD Paediatrics, Bangalore-based the Oxford Medical College Hospital & Research Centre has been granted 4 seats in MD Dermatology Venerology & Leprosy, and 3 seats in MS Obstetrics & Gynecology.
