NMC pulls up medical colleges for delay in Annual declaration, Extends Deadline with Penalty

New Delhi- The National Medical Commission (NMC) has further extended the last date of submission of the Annual Declaration details/data of respective institutions on the NMC portal.
As per the public notice issued in this regard, despite several notices pertaining to uploading the Annual declaration details/data of respective institutions on the NMC portal, some medical colleges are yet to fill the Annual Declaration Form on the portal as required in the NMC Act, 2019 and various regulations issued by NMC from time to time.
This has been viewed very seriously by the Competent Authority at the National Medical Commission, and it has now been decided to extend the date of submission of the Annual Declaration Form from 01 to 10 May 2025, along with a penalty of Rs. 50,000/-. Therefore, all the concerned stakeholders are requested to kindly take note of the same for further & necessary action.
"It has been observed that in-spite of four public notices issued through NMC website, some medical colleges are yet to fill the Annual Declaration Form on the portal. This has been viewed very seriously by the Competent Authority at National Medical Commission and it has now been decided to extend the date of submission of Annual Declaration Form from 01.04.2025 to 10.04.2025 along with a penalty of Rs. 50,000/- (including GST)."
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported Stating that no MBBS seats will be permitted if the medical college does not submit the Annual Declaration within a specific deadline, the Undergraduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) of the National Medical Commission directed the medical colleges to submit the details along with requisite fee including GST on NMC portal by 30 November 2024.
Submission of Annual Declaration details/data is mandatory for all Medical Colleges/Institutions except those colleges granted Letter of Permission (LOP) in the year 2024 and have not admitted students in the college for the year 2024-25. Colleges/Institutes are hereby intimated that the permission for admission in MBBS Course for the Academic Year i.e. 2025-26 shall not be granted in case the Colleges/Institutions fail to submit the Annual Declaration Form, as per NMC's earlier notice.
